Years before the opening of the new museum building, Lausanne’s museum district presents Plateforme 10 with selected exhibits from the worlds of design, art and photography on a digital platform.
Arising adjacent to the Lausanne train station is Plateforme 10, a pioneering joint project by the Cantonal Museum of Fine Arts, the mudac – musée de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains and the photographic museum, Musée de l’Elysée. As an innovation partner, Engagement Migros is supporting an ambitious 3D digitalization project. Already being presented are selected objects from the three collections on a joint platform, which explore the depths of the commonalties and differences between photography, design and art. Within the framework of the project, the three institutions are experimenting with cutting-edge interactive presentation platforms and innovative digitalization solutions that have been developed by the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). At the same time, they are deepening their content-related cooperation and thereby preparing themselves for the definite launching of Plateforme 10.
